"It is one year after our wedding and my wife and I are still watching the video; we watch it at least once a month. If you have the chance to hire them, do it!!!"

WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY IN CHARLOTTE

Charlotte moves at a different pace than the coast. Guest lists push past 200, timelines run tighter, and the venues range from converted mills in NoDa to South End rooftops with the uptown skyline behind them. We've filmed at Alexander Homestead, VanLandingham Estate, and Circle M Farm out near Lincolnton. At weddings this size there's usually a packed dance floor, a cocktail crowd, and a grandmother telling stories somewhere quieter, all at the same time. That's the kind of day where a second filmmaker (our Director's Cut package) earns its keep.

Travel to Charlotte never costs extra. Whether you're getting married uptown, out at Lake Norman, or somewhere in between, we'd love to hear what you have planned.

WHY HEARTLINE FILMS

Documentary style

We won't hand you a shot list or pose you on the Mint Museum steps. We film the day you actually have, then find the story in the edit.

Husband-and-wife team

Kevin films and Haley is our Creative Director; we're married and built Heartline together. Nobody gets subcontracted. The people you talk to are the people behind your film.

Super 8mm film

We load real Kodak cartridges into a decades-old Super 8 camera and mail the film to a lab, the same way it's always worked. Few videographers in North Carolina still do this.

A limited calendar

There's a hard ceiling on our bookings: a limited number of weddings each year. The trade is worth it; we know your timeline and your people cold before we ever load the cars.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is travel to Charlotte included in your pricing?
It is. We don't charge travel fees anywhere in North Carolina, so Charlotte and the surrounding metro are covered on every package.
Do you film larger weddings (200+ guests)?
We do, and Charlotte is where we see the most of them. For weddings over 150 guests, we'd recommend The Director's Cut package, which includes two filmmakers. That second camera means we can cover the dance floor and the cocktail conversations at the same time, or get a wide ceremony shot while the other camera is close on reactions. It makes a real difference when there's a lot happening at once.
How much does a Charlotte wedding videographer cost?
Plan on $4,000 to $7,500 with us. The Feature ($4,000) covers one filmmaker, your highlight film, and complete edits of the ceremony and speeches. The Director's Cut ($6,500) brings a second filmmaker, drone coverage, and real Super 8mm. The Reel ($7,500) skips digital entirely: eight hours, all on Super 8. Put 30% down to book; monthly plans handle the balance.
When should I book for a Charlotte wedding?
A year to 18 months ahead is the sweet spot. Our calendar caps at a limited number of weddings each year statewide, so Charlotte dates compete with everything else we book; October Saturdays go first.

REAL SUPER 8MM FILM

Super 8 is what families shot birthdays and beach trips on for decades. We run Kodak film through a vintage camera and get it processed at a lab; the grain is in the negative, not added in editing.

The Director's Cut includes it, no add-on required.

Genuine Kodak film, lab-processed

No preset gets the flicker and grain right. Film does.

We're based in Wilmington, NC. The drive to Charlotte is on us; no travel fees on any package.

Getting married in Charlotte?

We keep the calendar small: a limited number of weddings each year, with fall dates going quickest. Most of our 2026 dates are gone; 2027 just opened up. If your venue is in or around the Queen City, send the date over and we'll tell you fast whether it's free.
