"It is one year after our wedding and my wife and I are still watching the video; we watch it at least once a month. If you have the chance to hire them, do it!!!"

WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY IN WILMINGTON

Wilmington is home. We've filmed at Airlie Gardens, Brooklyn Arts Center, Bakery 105, Wrightsville Manor, The Atrium, Ironclad Brewery, River Landing, The Elia, Sycamore Bend, Warehouse on Water, St. Thomas Preservation Hall, Silver Coast Winery, Beau Rivage, Kindred in Carolina Beach, and Slate & Cypress down in Calabash. We know the light at each of them, the layouts, the spots that look great on camera and the things to plan around. We wrote a full breakdown in our honest venue guide for videography.

A lot of Wilmington weddings happen at the beach or in rented beach houses, and we love those days. Wrightsville Beach ceremonies with waves in the background, sunset portraits at Fort Fisher, intimate backyard receptions on Figure Eight Island. The coast is always close, and it always looks good on video. We also film plenty of downtown weddings along the river and indoor venue celebrations that have a completely different energy.

No travel fees, no extra costs. If you're getting married in Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Leland, Southport, or anywhere along the Cape Fear coast, we'd love to hear about your plans.

WHY HEARTLINE FILMS

Documentary style

We don't do shot lists or staged moments. We follow your day as it unfolds and find the story in it. What you get back feels like your wedding, not a production.

Husband-and-wife team

We're Kevin and Haley. We film weddings together, and we genuinely care about the people we work with. You're not getting a random crew. You're getting us.

Super 8mm film

We shoot on a real vintage Super 8 camera with Kodak film stock. Not a filter, not a preset. One of the few videographers in North Carolina who offer this.

20 weddings per year

We cap our calendar so every couple gets our full attention. That means no rushed edits, no cookie-cutter films, and time to actually get to know you before your day.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Wilmington venues look best on video?
We've filmed at over 15 Wilmington-area venues and wrote a detailed breakdown on our blog. Short answer: Wrightsville Manor has some of the best natural light in the area, Airlie Gardens gives you the most visual variety, and Brooklyn Arts Center is one of the most versatile spaces for a full wedding day. But it depends on your style and your guest count. We're happy to talk through what would look best for your plans.
Do you film beach weddings?
We do. Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Figure Eight Island, Fort Fisher; we've shot on most of the local beaches. Beach weddings have their own set of considerations for video, especially around wind and audio during the ceremony, but we have the gear and the experience to handle it.
How much does wedding videography cost in Wilmington?
We offer two packages. The Feature starts at $3,295 and includes one filmmaker and a highlight film. The Director's Cut is $5,295 and adds a second filmmaker, full ceremony and speeches, drone footage, and authentic Super 8mm film. Monthly payment plans are available after a $1,500 retainer.
When should I book?
We take 20 weddings a year, so popular dates (May through October especially) fill early. We'd say 12-18 months out is ideal, but we sometimes have last-minute availability. It never hurts to ask.
Is Super 8mm film available for Wilmington weddings?
Yes. Super 8mm is included in The Director's Cut package. We shoot on a real vintage Canon 814 with Kodak Vision3 film stock. It's not a filter; it's actual film, developed at a lab in California. We're one of the few wedding videographers in North Carolina offering it.

REAL SUPER 8MM FILM

We shoot on a vintage Super 8 camera with Kodak film stock; the same format home movies were shot on for decades. It's warm, textured, and looks nothing like a digital filter.

Included in The Director's Cut.
