Wilmington wedding videographer filming a couple on their wedding day

WILMINGTON WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER

We live here. A husband-and-wife team that keeps it to a limited number of weddings each year; most of our portfolio was filmed within a half hour of downtown.

"There are so many things you miss or forget on the day of the wedding. They captured every single special moment and detail of our day. We get to relive it over and over and over again."

"It is one year after our wedding and my wife and I are still watching the video; we watch it at least once a month. If you have the chance to hire them, do it!!!"

WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY IN WILMINGTON

Wilmington is home. We've filmed at Airlie Gardens, Brooklyn Arts Center, Bakery 105, Wrightsville Manor, The Atrium, Ironclad Brewery, River Landing, The Elia, Sycamore Bend, Warehouse on Water, St. Thomas Preservation Hall, Silver Coast Winery, Beau Rivage, Kindred in Carolina Beach, and Slate & Cypress down in Calabash. We know where golden hour lands at each one, which spaces get dark early, and what to plan around. All of it went into our honest venue guide for videography.

A lot of Wilmington weddings happen at the beach or in rented beach houses, and we love those days. Wrightsville Beach ceremonies with waves in the background, sunset portraits at Fort Fisher, intimate backyard receptions on Figure Eight Island. We also film plenty of downtown weddings along the river, and those have their own pull: golden hour on the riverwalk, Spanish moss in the live oaks, the battleship across the water, old brick just about everywhere you point a camera.

Since this is home, travel fees never enter the conversation. Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Leland, Southport, anywhere along the Cape Fear coast; if that's where you're getting married, tell us what you have in mind.

WHY HEARTLINE FILMS

Documentary style

We don't bring shot lists or stage moments, and we won't ask you to do that walk again. We film the day you actually have and build the story from what really happened.

Husband-and-wife team

Kevin and Haley; married, living in Wilmington, filming weddings together. The two people you email with are the same two who show up on your wedding day.

Super 8mm film

Real Kodak film running through a vintage camera, processed at an actual film lab. Only a handful of videographers in North Carolina shoot it.

A limited calendar

We'd rather film fewer weddings and do them right. A short calendar means your edit never sits in a long queue, and we actually know you by the time the day comes.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Wilmington venues look best on video?
We've filmed at over 15 Wilmington-area venues and wrote a detailed breakdown on our blog. Short answer: Wrightsville Manor has some of the best natural light in the area, Airlie Gardens gives you the most visual variety, and Brooklyn Arts Center is one of the most versatile spaces for a full wedding day. But it depends on your style and your guest count. We're happy to talk through what would look best for your plans.
Do you film beach weddings?
We do. Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Figure Eight Island, Fort Fisher; we've shot on most of the local beaches. Beach weddings have their own set of considerations for video, especially around wind and audio during the ceremony, but we have the gear and the experience to handle it.
How much does wedding videography cost in Wilmington?
We offer three packages. The Feature starts at $4,000: one filmmaker, a highlight film, and standalone ceremony and speeches edits. The Director's Cut is $6,500 and brings a second filmmaker, drone coverage, and real Super 8mm film. The Reel is $7,500 and is shot entirely on Super 8. Booking takes a 30% retainer, with monthly payment plans for the balance.
When should I book?
We take a limited number of weddings each year, so popular dates (May through October especially) fill early. We'd say 12-18 months out is ideal, but we sometimes have last-minute availability. It never hurts to ask.
Is Super 8mm film available for Wilmington weddings?
Yes. Super 8mm is included in The Director's Cut package. We shoot on a real vintage Canon 814 with Kodak Vision3 film stock. It's not a filter; it's actual film, developed at a lab in California. We're one of the few wedding videographers in North Carolina offering it.

REAL SUPER 8MM FILM

Families shot their home movies on this format for decades. On your wedding day we load it into a vintage camera; warm, grainy, a little imperfect, and that's the point.

The Director's Cut includes it as standard.
