WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY IN THE MOUNTAINS

Asheville gives you a mountain backdrop that actually shows up on film. The Blue Ridge ridgelines catch golden hour light in a way that's hard to overstate; you just point the camera and let it work. We've filmed at venues across the area; Crest Center & Pavilion, Homewood, Claxton Farm, The Ridge, places near the Biltmore estate. Each one looks and feels completely different.

The city itself has a strong arts and brewery culture, and that shows up in the weddings. You get rustic barn ceremonies next to modern downtown receptions. Rehearsal dinners at breweries, first looks in the fog. No two Asheville weddings look the same, which is exactly why we like filming there.

We're based in Wilmington, about four and a half hours east, and we drive out to western North Carolina regularly. We know the venues and we know the light. Travel fees for Asheville weddings are quoted per wedding and included in your custom proposal. If you're planning something in Asheville, Black Mountain, Hendersonville, Brevard, Waynesville, or anywhere in the WNC mountains, we'd love to hear about it.

WHY HEARTLINE FILMS

Documentary style

We don't do shot lists or staged moments. We follow your day as it unfolds and find the story in it. What you get back feels like your wedding, not a production.

Husband-and-wife team

We're Kevin and Haley. We film weddings together, and we genuinely care about the people we work with. You're not getting a random crew. You're getting us.

Super 8mm film

We shoot on a real vintage Super 8 camera with Kodak film stock. Not a filter, not a preset. One of the few videographers in North Carolina who offer this.

20 weddings per year

We cap our calendar so every couple gets our full attention. That means no rushed edits, no cookie-cutter films, and time to actually get to know you before your day.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much does a wedding videographer in Asheville cost?
Heartline Films offers two wedding videography packages for Asheville weddings. The Feature starts at $3,295 and includes one filmmaker and a cinematic highlight film. The Director's Cut is $5,295 and adds a second filmmaker, ceremony and speeches edits, drone footage, and authentic Super 8mm film. Monthly payment plans are available after a $1,500 retainer.
Do you travel to Asheville for weddings?
Yes, we travel to Asheville regularly from our home base in Wilmington. Travel to Asheville is not included in our base package pricing; we'll quote travel fees based on your specific date and include them in your custom proposal.
Is Super 8mm film available for Asheville weddings?
Absolutely. We bring our vintage Super 8 camera and Kodak film stock to every wedding where couples book The Director's Cut package. Super 8mm adds a warm, textured, nostalgic quality that digital filters can't replicate. We're one of the few wedding videographers in NC offering authentic Super 8mm film.
When should I book my Asheville wedding videographer?
We recommend booking 12-18 months in advance, especially for peak season dates (May through October). We limit our calendar to 20 weddings per year, so popular dates fill quickly. That said, we sometimes have last-minute availability; it never hurts to ask.

REAL SUPER 8MM FILM

We shoot on a vintage Super 8 camera with Kodak film stock; the same format home movies were shot on for decades. It's warm, textured, and looks nothing like a digital filter.

Included in The Director's Cut.
