Durham is a great wedding city. Most of the best venues started as something else; renovated tobacco warehouses like The Rickhouse and Bay 7 give you massive windows and raw brick walls. 21c Museum Hotel puts you inside an actual art gallery. The Durham Hotel rooftop gets you the skyline. The city has a strong indie streak, and couples who pick Durham tend to put their weddings together with that same intentionality.
Chapel Hill is right down the road. The Cookery has a warm, modern feel that films beautifully. The Duke Chapel area is as timeless as it gets. Carrboro and Hillsborough offer smaller, quieter spots for intimate ceremonies. Between Durham and Chapel Hill, you can do just about anything.
We're based in Wilmington, about two and a half hours southeast, and we film in the Durham and Chapel Hill area regularly. We know the light, we know the venues, and travel is always included in our packages; no surprise fees, no mileage charges. We just show up ready to work.
We don't do shot lists or staged moments. We follow your day as it unfolds and find the story in it. What you get back feels like your wedding, not a production.
