Over the years, we’ve heard this question
over and over. And it’s a great question to ask.
So here are our answers.

The short answer? Ours start at $2995.

Yes, there are cheaper wedding videographers out there. But in the wedding world, you really do get what you pay for. With over 10 years of experience and 150+ weddings under our belts, you can trust us with your big day.

We only use top-of-the-line professional gear and make sure we have backups of backups of backups. Heck, we still have all of the footage from our very first wedding over a decade ago.

Here is a more in-depth article.

We ask for a 50% retainer to secure your wedding date with the remainder due 14 days prior to your big day.

We’re also happy to work with you on a payment plan.

Everywhere! Though we’re based in North Carolina, we’ll go just about anywhere you’ll have us!

Most destinations within North Carolina are free. Exclusions include western NC, Outer Banks, and any destination the requires paid travel such as Bald Head Island.

When we do charge for travel, we make a best estimate for gas, flights and hotels.

The Wedding Day

No. Our philosophy is to stay out of the way as much as possible; we want to capture the candid moments. Your photographer will pose you for various shots throughout the day, but we generally only pose you for couples’ and sunset shots.

We like to put a lavalier (a small clip-on microphone) on one partner’s outfit and on your officiant. This microphone will be worn for letter readings, first looks, and the ceremony.

Don’t worry, we only use the audio from those moments and trash all of the extra.

Too many. Our worst nightmare is to lose or miss any audio during your ceremony. Over the years, we’ve added a new microphone or recorder every time we see a potential weak spot.

If you’re curious, here’s all of the audio recording we set up:

  • Lavalier on one partner
  • Lavalier on the officiant
  • Recorder connected to the speakers
  • Recorder pointing at the speakers
  • Recorder near the front of the room
  • Recorder near any readers
  • 3 microphones on 3 cameras

After the Wedding

The short answer is that we always have at least 2 copies of your footage, if not 3.

Long technical answer? Our cameras record to 2 memory cards at once. When we leave your wedding, 1 card stays in each camera and 1 goes in a rugged case separate from our cameras. Then we copy your footage to a RAID array and an external drive that lives offsite (thanks, mom!) before wiping the cards. Finally, our RAID backs up to the cloud (Backblaze, to be specific).

To this day, we haven’t lost one single file from all of our 150+ weddings.

As a matter of principle, no. When you hire us, you get the full package from prep to wedding day to delivery. We’re very passionate about every step of the process and to deliver raw footage would degrade our service.

However, if there is certain footage you want to make sure is in your film or documentary, just let us know and we’ll make it happen!

“You had us sobbing reliving our day all over again.
The attention to detail was breathtaking.
Thank you, we’ll treasure this forever.”
